Foreword: From the Parents' Association

Welcome to the final edition of the newsletter for this school year. We hope you will join us in thanking Mr. Mc Inerney and his transition year reporters. They have kept us informed of all the school events and achievements in each school term.

Thanks also to Ms. O' Carroll and her staff. We appreciate all their work during the past year.

As we write this preparations are being made for the trip to the activity centre in Carlingford Lough and the hike and barbecue up the Murrough. Both events are to be held on Friday the 13th of May. Thanks to all for organising and supervising them. Public Speaking was held on Friday May 6th in De la Salle Col­lege. Thirty seven pupils between our school and the Dominican College participated. Refreshments were served by the parents association. Well done to all, it was a great night.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the exam classes as the Jun­ior and Leaving Certs approach. We wish all luck and hope that all in 6th year are happy in their chosen career.

We look forward to the graduation night which is to be held on Thursday the 26th of May. Our committee will serve refresh­ments on the night.

We would like to acknowledge at this time the contribution made by some of our members who have come to the end of their time with our association. The longest serving member is Mrs. Mary Duffy who has served on the committee for 13 years, also Mrs. Angela Murphy and Mrs. Elaine McDonald who have served 6 years each. Thanks to Mrs. Kay Carolan who joined us last year. Your help and wisdom will be greatly missed. We wish you the students, teachers and parents a very happy holiday and look forward to you all returning in good health in September.
